Our loose leaf Black tea is made from whole tea leaves. When the water flows through the leaves the aromas, vitamins, and minerals will be extracted and this gives the loose leaf Black tea more character and higher quality in flavor.

How Black tea is made 

Black tea is made from the same plant as green tea and white tea. It is made from Camellia Sinensis and it comes from the Assam district of India and Sri Lanka. The difference between these two tea blends is the way it is withered, heated, rolled, oxidized, and dried. Unlike other teas, black tea is oxidized. This means that after plucking the tea leaves they are exposed to the air. The leaves turn black or brown due to oxygen. To speed up this process, the leaves are crushed or cut. Then the leaves are rolled. Black tea has one of the longest oxidation processes to build more aroma and flavor.

We only use real flowers, spices, and fruits to create our tea blends. Furthermore, we are not using any pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
